The English Goju-Ryu Karate Do Association is a non-profit organisation dedicated to teaching Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu. Formed in 1973 and now headed by Chief Instructor Sensei Ernie Molyneux (8th dan IOGKF), the EGKA now boasts over 40 dojos throughout the country.
Each dojo is run by a fully insured, first aid trained and police vetted sensei who trains regularly under our senior instructors to preserve our high standards of teaching.
We are very fortunate in England to have a large number of high ranking instructors, most of whom train frequently in Okinawa under Shihan Morio Higaonna, 10th dan. They also teach internationally themselves and this level of expertise is brought home to the UK, as the EGKA runs regular gasshukus (training courses) for its members. These gasshukus pass along this knowledge and make the EGKA what it is today.
